Vallebelbo was founded in 1956 by a group of seventy vine growers who were strongly motivated to escape from the underdeveloped agricultural world in comparison to the fast rising industrial age of those days. Since then, Vallebelbo has become one of the leading firms in the sector of Italian wines and an established reputation in the international markets. In spite of the adoption of modern technology, Vallebelbo has maintained its original roots in the Langhe region, famous for its wines, cheeses and truffles.

At the North East of Langhe, the border of the provinces of Cuneo and Asti are 600 hectares of vineyards owned by Vallebelbo are devoted to the cultivation and production of Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (D.O.C.G) and Denominazione di Origine Controllata (D.O.C) grapes. Nothing better than Moscato grapes can be grown on these vineyards.

SanMaurizio, situated in an ancient location among the vineyards is one of the best vineyards for growing the Moscato grapes. Facing south, the Moscato vines on the arid and steep hills are allowed to receive ample sunlight expressed their nectar-like aroma notes.
