Domaine de Pallus La Rougerie

The vineyard la Rougerie has a clay / sandy bottom with iron-containing stones. At a depth of 70 cm there is lime rock. The vineyard was planted in 1952 with a rare variety of the Cabernet-Franc that produces differently small bunches. The wine is of an unprecedented depth. The tannins are very refined and the finish is exceptionally long. A Chinon of an unprecedented level. Also the price is unprecedented for Chinon, but given the exceptional level of this wine certainly justified. 2014 is the first harvest of this special wine.
